About Rafsheena
Rafsheena Basheer is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of diverse experience in clinical, counseling, and educational settings. She holds a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from the School of Behavioral Science, Kannur University, and is registered with the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi. She is also certified as an ADEK In-School Specialist, supporting mental health care in academic environments.
At Irish Wellness Medical Center, Rafsheena serves as the Lead Clinical Psychologist and Head of the Mental Health Department, where she provides direct psychological care and leads the center’s integrated mental health team. She oversees clinical operations across multiple specialties, including psychiatry, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy, ensuring a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
Her clinical expertise includes trauma therapy, emotional regulation, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and developmental assessments. Rafsheena is trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule™ (ADOS-2), enhancing her ability to support early identification and tailored interventions for neurodevelopmental conditions.
Known for her evidence-based, empathetic approach, Rafsheena combines strong clinical skills with strategic leadership, ensuring a supportive, inclusive, and outcome-focused environment for individuals and families across all age groups.
