Dr. Muttaman Adam Ahmed Mohammed is a Specialist Psychiatrist licensed by the Department of Health (DOH – Abu Dhabi), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the UAE Ministry of Health (MOH), and the Sudan Medical Council (SMC). He has extensive experience across inpatient, outpatient, and rehabilitation settings, with a strong background in managing complex psychiatric conditions using both psychotherapy and advanced psychopharmacology.
Dr. Muttaman specializes in treating mood disorders, psychotic illnesses, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and trauma-related mental health conditions. He has worked in general hospitals, mental health rehabilitation centers, and community programs, providing crisis intervention, detox management, clozapine therapy, and electroconvulsive treatment (ECT).
Alongside his clinical expertise, Dr. Muttaman has served as a medical director and psychiatric trainer, supervising junior doctors and leading multidisciplinary teams. He has contributed to large-scale community mental health initiatives, including psychosocial support programs for displaced populations, school-based mental health programs, and national advocacy efforts in collaboration with UNICEF and global MHPSS networks.
